Hello! My name is Alastair, and I’m a fresh graduate committed to helping young people succeed in their studies. I hold a Master’s in Russian & East European Studies from the University of Oxford and a First-Class Honours degree in Modern History and Russian from the University of St Andrews. I offer tutoring in English (including essay writing and comprehension), History (including source analysis and exam preparation), Russian (beginners to university entrance level, including spoken and written language), as well as French and German (up to A-Level or Advanced Higher). I also provide support with study skills, such as essay planning, revision techniques, and exam strategies. My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. Having recently completed my own studies at a high level, I understand the academic pressures students face.
